Youth 'em is You + them. Project Success and Independent Youth Services Foundation comes together with youth to listen, share and empower them with resources so they can make proactive decisions for their educational future. We coordinate SWOT analyses of our programs, use youth participants to create program focus, take them to colleges, help w/scholarships, provide mentors, expose them to career choices through fieldtrips, and encourage confidence through hands-on activities, etc.

why should people support this cause

The youth are our future. With current issues and incidents occuring in the city we need to work together to save our youth. They want opportunities but if they are not exposed to "other" opportunities, they will make decisions based on what they have been exposed to. A lot of the youth I work with don't have computers at home. We provide a computer lab. Some have never been out of town, we take them 3 times a year to othter cities and college campuses so they can have choices and look to secondary educational chances. Some have no parental support, we provide the "village that it takes to raise a child." We need your help in the redevelopment of minds & motives. People should get involved because "it is easier to build strong children than to fix broken men." We need you now because later might be too late. My involvement has always been because they are children and they don't know everything but maybe I can help them to know more! I don't profess to know it all so I need others to stand with me and help me help others. To succeed with our youth, I need a variety of supports and resources (ideas, materials, finances & volunteers). You can be that support. Get involved, please -- our city's future and their future depends on you + them together.
