Co.Starters for Causes
Co.Starters for Causes is our 9-week planning program that helps social entrepreneurs turn their ideas into action. During Co.Starters you will questions your assumptions, strengthen your idea, and create a more sustainable project, all while surrounded by a supportive group of like-minded people who want to change our city for the better. Our next class starts on September 15th.
Through the Causeway Challenge, we look to the wisdom of the crowd (that's you!) to help us solve some of our city's toughest problems. We frame the problem. You propose a solution. If your idea is selected, your team will receive up to $10,000, 4 months of incubation services and a personal mentor to help you strengthen your project, run tests and launch it successfully. The theme of our next Causeway Challenge will be announced in this fall so stay tuned!
Even most great ideas can't move forward without a little bit of funding. So we've partnered with Kindful to offer you a platform to rally locals to donate their money to make your idea happen. Thanks to our sponsors, we wave the credit card fees, passing 100% of what you raise directly to your cause.
We all need a little help getting started. Check our our resources page for advice on how to become a better fundraiser, tell a stronger story, or visually represent your idea.
Through our advisor network we act as match-makers between local talent and projects that could use some specific expertise. Advisors are assigned to our program participants on a case-by-case basis.
