The local homeless population faces exposure to Chattanooga's ever-changing climate. Relevant Hope raised $8,000 to provide coats that double as sleeping bags to the homeless population. The coats are made and distributed by the Empowerment Plan, a nonprofit organization that employs homeless parents from shelters to become full-time, educated, self-supporting seamstresses. The coats can offer life-saving protection to a homeless individual throughout the harsh winter weather. Relevant Hope is a nonprofit that serves Chattanooga’s homeless population by meeting existing needs and providing hope for the future.
