A little friendly competition never hurt anyone. What if it could bring people together? Chattanooga Sports Ministries is uniting youth and their families from local neighborhoods around dribbles and passes. CSM sees soccer as an agent of transformation— a means of teaching life skills and building Gospel-centered relationships that break through social barriers. Energetic youth from East Chattanooga, Alton Park, East Lake, and other neighborhoods suited up in polyester jerseys and soccer cleats on March 3, 2012 to tread the field for the winning title. The event took place on the Highland Park Commons fields and was a grand finale to a summer of team-building that fostered neighborhood pride and meaningful relationships.
