Since its founding in 2010, the Camp House has become an institution in Chattanooga. After four years in the Southside district, The Camp House started a move to its current location at the crossroads of MLK, City Center, and UTC. The coffee shop is owned by Mission Chattanooga. Rather than planting a church that sat empty six days a week, The Camp House was started to be a gift to the community with a vision of fostering community and cultivating culture in Chattanooga. In its first four years, the shop served over 140,000 cups of coffee and hosted over 850 events, securing its identity as a hub for collaboration, creativity, and relationships. Its new downtown location was completely gutted out and renovated to craft the inspiring space it is today, and situates the Camp House as an epicenter for inciting positive change in the city.
