In 2013, plans were enacted to demolish the 1938 Red Bank High School building on Dayton Boulevard. Alumni rallied together just in time to preserve a special piece of this building’s history: its “brick students” sculpture. The team raised a total of $8,000 through a variety of fundraising efforts to reconstruct the brick sculptures as a free-standing monument at the new Red Bank High School campus. The historic piece is now an interactive public art piece that connects the past to the present for RBHS and its current students, alumni, their families, and the local community.
